"Democracy, activity & peace."

About us

The OAM was founded on 30th October 2009 by Sir. Philip Fish, Chairman of the Most Glorious People's Republic of A1. This followed recommendations set out in a foreign policy white paper submitted to the A1 government by the A1 Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Within the first two weeks, there was a notable lack of member nations, and Sir. Fish even took the step of considering dismantling the Organisation. However, he was convinced out of this and following this, a surge of new members followed.

The Council is proud of its speed in making speedy, yet informed decisions on resolutions, with resolutions being passed within 3-7 days on most occaissions. The OAM is also proud of taking care of its members, with all resolutions being non-binding, unless otherwise stated, and ensuring that micronations are not overburdened by obligations and never-ending activities.

In July 2010, the passing of Resolution 70 began a series of reforms, which included the establishment of agencies, not dissimilar to those of the United Nations, in order to provide the OAM with meaningful and useful goals to contribute positivly to micronationalism.
